ISCA-FICS MERGER IN PROGRESS
March 2011- A new Memo of Understanding has been signed by the Board of ISCA after negotiations with FICS’ Board, and the parties have agreed to a two year trial MERGER.
In this process, all members of ISCA’s Board are to become members of a new FICS permanent COMMISSION - the “WOA Liaison Commission”. Angela Salcedo, DC, President of ISCA, will become Chairman of the Commission, and each ISCA Board member will be co-opted into one of FICS’s other Commissions, as appropriate to their skillsets. The agreement has been accepted in prinicpal by FICS and is expected to be made official at the FICS Exec. Session in Rio on April 6th. More news as it happens….

IOC President Urges Sports to Comply with World Anti-Doping Code
At a meeting between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board and the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) held on March 25 in Denver as part of the Sportaccord Convention, the IOC President, Jacques Rogge, reiterated his strong support to the fight against doping and WADA’s work. He also urged all sports to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code.
